Dells, 05/2002.We made a trip to
KOA Campground on the Memorial Day weekend. A total of 6 NFWC families
participated in the trip. |

It was our first camping trip
in nearly two years, and started out pretty rough. We forgot to pack tent
undercover, tent poles and swimming trunks among other miscellaneous
things. The bad part was that we realize the missing pieces when we
arrived at the campground on Friday night at 10PM. Luckily enough, we
found a nearby Walmart which carried a tent we like. We ended up getting a
tent Cindy liked. |

| The first
night was pretty cold and rainy. It rained more than what we have
anticipated, and colder that we have expected. It was one of the worst
camping conditions we have experienced in years... A small electric heater
we took helped us the kids a lot. We spent a first night with Jaewon's
family. |
|

| Jingu,
Kevin and Jungwon's family arrived on the following day. We have guessed
that Jingu's family will arrive in the morning, followed by Jungwon and
Kevin's family in the afternoon based on analysis of past trip patterns.
However, our guess was only half right. Everyone arrived in the afternoon
with Jingu in first place, followed by Kevin and Jungwon -- what a upset!! |

| Surprisingly,
Brendan's family joined us in the evening. The total came to SIX families,
one of the largest group outing we've had. Having a large number of people
present in the outing, the merrier it became... |

| We spent
long hours in front of the campfire: gossiping, drinking and cooking (marshmallows
and corns) ... |

| We
spent long hours playing jangki (Korean Chess) while women were cooking,
and kids were swimming. We also played a basketball game, and made a short
bicycle trip to neighboring "Stand Rock" campground. I have come
to realize how bad of shape I was in after playing a game of basketball...
